Explain your idea further

This would be a newer edition of the event that was originally run by Dolapo Bolaji. We would like to have a panel of discussions on the topics of decolonisation of the curriculum, the importance of identity and belonging and will feature talks from various academics.

How would your idea benefit students?

Making the university a more welcoming place for student of ethnic backgrounds and raising discussion about the attainment gap to bring new solutions.

How could your idea be implemented?

Running an event with invited/guest speakers and a panel for discussions.

A Race in Your Face Event is currently being planned for Wednesday 8th May, 5-7pm, in Richmond LT3.

The Eventbrite will be shared shortly.

The idea has been marked as Fast Tracked. The reason was: UAB felt that the idea was important to a large number of students and would be advantageous for the Union to implement with the resources currently available. Therefore the idea has been marked for immediate action.
